We want to thank everyone who attended the SPJ Detroit banquet last Thursday, May 5, at the San Marino Club.
It was a fabulous night, but we wanted to let you know that some people in attendance have tested positive for COVID. Depending on your company’s protocols you may want to take a test. As you may know, cases have been increasing and we wanted to get the word out ASAP.
As of April 25, 2022, the CDC states that anyone who may have been exposed to someone with COVID should test five days after their exposure, or as soon as symptoms occur. If symptoms occur, individuals should immediately quarantine until a negative test confirms symptoms are not attributable to COVID-19. Those who develop symptoms should get tested as symptoms develop, but if a test is negative and symptoms persist another test might be needed a few days later, particularly for those who use at-home test kits.
