Detroit native and resident Monica Williams has worked as an editor in newsrooms across the world, including The Wall Street Journal, The Detroit News, The Boston Globe, National Geographic, Bridge Michigan and BridgeDetroit.

As an SPJ staff member, she co-designed and executed a training program that trained 2,000 journalists on Google Tools in four months. She also was editor-in-chief of Quill magazine.
