Winners to be announced at
SPJ Detroit Reception
Sept. 23 at Atwater Brewery
Program begins at 5 p.m.
The Detroit Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will be announcing the three winning entries in the inaugural A-Mark Prize Investigative Journalism on Sept. 23 at a special event at Atwater Brewery in Detroit.
This free event is open to the region’s journalism and supporting communities. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available.
SPJ Detroit partnered with the A-Mark Foundation to launch this new annual journalism competition to encourage and reward the best in investigative and revelatory news coverage in Michigan.
In total, there will be $15,000 allotted to the winning reporters and their newsrooms.
Atwater Brewery is located at 237 Jos Campau in Detroit.
