News professionals and supporters are invited to join us at a free event at 5 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Atwater Brewery.
The Detroit Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will announce the top three winners in the second annual A-Mark Prize for Investigative Journalism at a special reception at the Atwater Brewery on Sept. 29.
The event is open free of charge to the journalism community and those who support our work. There will be free refreshments and a cash bar.
SPJ Detroit is once again partnering with the A-Mark Foundation on this annual journalism competition to encourage and reward the best in investigative and revelatory news coverage in Michigan.
In total, $15,000 will be awarded to the winning reporters and their newsrooms.
Atwater Brewery is located at 237 Jos Campau in Detroit.
